Can this be done online? No. Most lenders do not allow video conferencing for Solicitor’s Certificates. That combined with VOID, cyber crime, etc means that we stick to a face to face only process
Don’t I just need a witness? No. A Solicitor’s Certificate is a certificate from a registered Australian Solicitor/Lawyer, attesting that they have provided the client with advice as to their rights and obligations, etc. If the advice is rushed or not provided at all, the solicitor can be sued by the relevant lender in due course
